Turn emotional challenges
into emotional growth
about Julie
Julie is a Registered Psychologist living and practicing in the Southern Highlands. The core values of her work at Elysian Psychology are derived from helping individuals transform life challenges into areas of personal growth. She works from a trauma-informed, attachment and strengths-based approach with the belief that early intervention and emotional intelligence are fundamental to well-being in later life.
Julie completed her Psychology Degree from UOW in 2010 and has since gone on to complete her Masters in Counselling in 2018. She has completed further training in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Cognitive Processing Therapy and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. She is also Level 2 Trained in The Gottman Method and uses this modality for her work with couples.
She believes in meaningful connections that inspire change, and strives to achieve this with each client in practice.

Face to Face / Telehealth
While face to face is always preferable, we understand life can be busy. If attending an in-person appointment is difficult due to various commitments, we are happy and comfortable working via telehealth. Please just let us know if this is something you would prefer.

School / Home visits
For NDIS clients who require long-term ongoing support, we can arrange regular school (if your school is amenable) or home visits for those who have difficulty attending the clinic in person - (additional fees apply)
